Serendipity Day Camp @Haverford College is for campers ages 5-13. Activities include daily swim time, arts and crafts, nature, sports, drama, and more!

For over three decades, Serendipity Day Camp has brought campers ages 5-14 to Haverford College’s campus for activities ranging from kickball on the Cricket Field to cooking in the Multicultural Center to drama in Marshall Auditorium to sowing seeds at the HaverFarm to coding at one of the many computing centers. The camp runs for seven weeks during the summer (starting in late June and ending the first week in August), and is staffed by Senior Counselors from Haverford and other colleges -- many of whom are former campers themselves as well as Junior Counselors from the local community. Serendipity channels the community-centered spirit of camp founder Marilou Allen -- Director of Haverford’s 8th Dimension community service office for over 30 years, and a lifelong resident of Ardmore. Counselors bring a wide range of experiences and talents to their work and play with the campers, and counselors and campers alike cultivate the community spirit of Serendipity through the ongoing cultivation of friendships old and new. Each week brings new experiences: you may find yourself nose to nose with a penguin on a field trip or representing Ghana at the camp olympics or showing off a new dance move to family and friends on Drama Night. Serendipity is always looking for people who have great ideas and are energetic, spontaneous, patient, and willing to work happily in the heat and rain.
